These terms apply whether you access our services via a computer, mobile device, or any other means.
Please read these terms carefully before you start to use our website. We recommend that you print a copy of them for future reference.
By using our website, you confirm that you accept these terms and that you agree to comply with them.

By using our website, you consent to allow us to use or process the data you submit and you warrant that all data provided by you is accurate and that you have authority to submit such data on our website.
If you decide to sell your car to us, a binding agreement for us to purchase the vehicle will only be made once all parties have signed our standard written purchase contract.
We may revise these terms at any time without notice by amending this page. The amended terms will be effective from the date they are posted to our website (which is set out at the bottom of this page). Your continued use of our website or services will constitute your acceptance of the amended terms.
The website has been designed to allow private individuals to sell a car to obtain a valuation of their car and to provide them with the opportunity to sell the car to us.

Use of the website to obtain car valuations for any commercial purpose or for vehicles you have no authority or intention to sell to us is strictly prohibited.

Any valuation generated is based on the information you tell us about your car and on the following general assumptions we make in relation to the car.
- it has over 6 months MOT;
- it is not an import, i.e. it is a right-hand drive vehicle with UK registration plates and it has a 17 digit chassis number
- it has not ever been subject to an insurance write off or used for private hire, rental, courier services, driving tuition or as a police vehicle;
- there are no major mechanical faults with the car;
- it does not have a personalised registration plate, or, if the vehicle has a personalised registration plate it will remain with the Car and no value is assigned to it;
- it has no damage, including interior and mechanical;
- it has an engine that starts and it can idle on its own.
- two sets of keys are with the car.
A valuation is not an offer by us to purchase the car. It is to be regarded simply as a guide to enable you to estimate the value of your car and the price which we may be willing to pay for it.
We always carry out a physical appraisal before we agree to buy any car. After you have received a valuation, you may book an appointment for an appraisal.
If when we have carried out the appraisal we consider that the value of the car is affected by any aspect of its history or condition, including any feature or customisation which affects the assumptions we made about the car, which was not apparent to us when we gave the valuation, the price that we may be willing to pay for it is likely to differ from the valuation.
We are not obliged to purchase any car brought to an appointment, and you are not obliged to sell any car brought to an appointment.
We reserve the right to turn you away from an appointment if you are selling the car for commercial purposes or if you can not demonstrate appropriate authority to sell the vehicle.
The valuation is valid for 5 days from the date and time which you receive your valuation on the website, and in all cases will require an appraisal to be completed before it can be considered an offer.
If we do buy a car from you, at the point of completion you must provide us with:
- All copies of the Car's keys you have;
- The V5 registration document and appropriate proof of purchase if requested by us.
- the service history record (if any);
- the MOT history record (if any);
- the user manuals (if any); and
- any accessories there may be such as a locking wheel nut, radio fascia or remote controls.
- Appropriate means of identification and authority to act as required
You must also remove any personal possessions from the car once the purchase has been concluded. We will not be responsible for any personal items lost or left behind by you once the car is in our possession.
In the event that you are unable or fail to comply with these hand-over requirements, you agree that we have the right to withdraw any offer to buy the car with immediate effect.
We may in some circumstances agree to make a revised offer at which we will be prepared to purchase the car.
If we elect to withdraw our offer, and the car is in our possession we will return the car to you. If you have received any payment you will refund the full amount to us.
For an additional fee of £29, we can arrange for eligible customers to receive payment on the next working day after the day on which you sell the car to us. If events beyond our control cause any delay to the payment, we will not have any liability to you for the delay. We may however agree to refund the payment fee if it has been paid, or deducted from the price if the payment is not made within the timescales quoted on the invoice.
For an additional fee of £49, eligible customers can choose to have same-day payments. We will make payment shortly after completion of the purchase by Faster payment method, however, please be aware that it may take your bank or building society up to 2 hours to process this payment.
In order to be eligible for any of the quicker payment options, you must be the registered keeper and have all the required documentation to complete the sale.
We may not be able to offer any quicker payment options where further validation checks may be required. For example:
- If you are settling finance personally or where a finance company still has a registered financial interest
- You are selling a vehicle on behalf of someone else, or for a business
- If we identify any discrepancies with the vehicle specification
- If HPI identifies any category markers or national mileage register discrepancies
- If you have owned the vehicle for a short period and we require documents to confirm this.
We will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform any of any obligations under these terms due to events or other matters beyond our reasonable control.
You will compensate us in full for any losses or costs, including reasonable legal fees, we incur as a result of any breach by you of these terms.
If any part of these terms is held to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable, the remaining parts of the terms will continue to be enforceable.
If we do not exercise or enforce a right under these terms against you at any time, this does not prevent us from doing so at a later date.
These terms are governed by English law. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction in connection with these Terms and your access to and use of our website and services including any claims or disputes.
